Hello, Friends & Neighbors:
After a winter that seemed it would never quite give up the fight, spring is finally
here. Frankly, we deserve nice weather! But each season brings a new hope, joy, and
something special to look forward to. At Seasons Magazines we work hard to bring you
new stories each quarter about local people and places. In a world that moves fast,
we think it’s a good thing that our magazines are “slow media.” I hear from so many
friends and neighbors that they enjoy reading Seasons at leisure, with breakfast in the
morning or a glass of wine at night. To us, that is the greatest compliment. Real storytelling
and high-quality writing and photography never go out of style. We appreciate
your feedback!
In this issue, our talented writers and photographers celebrate spring with subjects
ranging from prom dates to wood ducks. We provide more ideas for slow reading,
explore the diverse programs of Connecticut Humanities, and present information on
healing the scrapes and wounds that can occur with increased outdoor activity, and
cook up a seasonal specialty: rack of lamb. In feature articles about art and culture, we
tour an exhibit about the costumes made famous by actress Katharine Hepburn and
profile a nationally recognized artist who creates collages out of found art and flower
petals. Finally, in this issue’s essays we offer reflections, both serious and funny.
Once again, thank you to our advertisers. They believe in Seasons as a connection
to their community and enable us to produce the quality you expect. Please visit them:
you can expect quality service and products from all our advertising partners.
